What every fighter gets

The same care, up and down the card.

  • Confidential support

Private, judgment-free sessions. What you talk about stays between you and your therapist.

  • Equal treatment

The same access for every fighter, from the opening bout to the main event.

  • Performance resources

Mindset support for training and competition, available on request.

Why it matters

Mental health is a team sport.

Fighters are trained to push through. That works in camp and it works in the ring. It works less well for the things that follow you home.

The weeks after a loss. An injury that keeps you out of the gym. Cutting weight, money, family, or working out who you are when the sport is not in front of you. None of that shows up on a record, and all of it affects how you train, compete and live.

Asking for help is not a weakness in your game. You already have a coach for your boxing and a cutman for your corner. A therapist is one more professional on the team, there for the part of the fight nobody else sees.

What you can bring to a session

  • Pressure and nerves before a fight
  • A loss, or a win that did not feel the way you expected
  • Injury, recovery and time away from the gym
  • Sleep, stress and weight cuts
  • Relationships, family and life outside the sport
  • Anything else. You do not need a reason that sounds big enough.
“At CMH, we see you as a whole person, not just an athlete.”
Anthony Girges, CMH Founder

What a first session looks like

Your first session is a conversation. Your therapist asks what brought you in and what you want to be different, and the two of you decide what to work on. There is no test and nothing to prepare.

From there the work is short-term and focused on what you came in for. You set the pace, and you can stop whenever you choose.

Getting started

Three rounds to your first session.

  1. Round 1

    Reach out

Browse Thrive’s therapists. Filter by specialty, insurance, and in-person or telehealth.

  2. Round 2

    Get matched

Pick the therapist who fits and reserve a time online. In the notes field, write “CMH” so our team knows you came through the partnership.
